Just outside the well-known Hwange National Park, you’ll find Hwange Safari Lodge (S18 39 433 E026 58 771). The Lodge is only an hour’s drive from the Victoria Falls on the road from Bulawayo. If you wants something more than a stopover you can concider visiting Canon Lodge at the Fishriver Canyon in Namibia

Within easy reach of Hwange Safari Lodge is Sossusvlei. Here you can choose between luxury accommodation at Sossusvlei Lodge or self-catering ( self contained ) accommodation such as Sossusvlei Desert Lodge. Also within in the Sossusvlei area, but 60 km further from Hwange Safari Lodge, is Solitaire. The best option would be to use a Land Cruiser or Mitsubishi Triton from Temba Car Hire to explore this region.

From Hwange you can either drive via Gaborone to Swakopmund, or you can drive via the capital city Windhoek to Swakopmund. Whilst in Windhoek we recommend that you overnight in Arebbusch self-catering ( self contained ) on the outskirts of the town. Windhoek is 1200 km from Hwange Safari Lodge and you can visit Mariental River Chalets or Mariental River Lodge in Mariental on way.

Once you reach Swakopmund, you can stay in self-catering ( self contained ) accommodation such as Alte Brucke or the Municipal Rest Camp of Swakopmund. For more upmarket accommodation concider The Stiltz in Swakopmund. From Swakopmund the skeleaton coast is within easy reach and the perfect accommodation is Cape Cross Lodge at the Cape Cross seal colony along the skeleton Coast of Namibia.

Also about 1200 km from Hwange Safari Lodge is DAMARALAND with excellent accommodation such as Vingkerlip Lodge, Twyfelfontein Country Lodge, Ugab Terrace Lodge and Palmwag. The famous Etosha National Park is almost the same distance from Hwange Safari Lodge. At Etosha National Park you can choose your Etosha accommodation at Etosha Accommodation or simply stay at the Etosha self catering Lodge near Okaukuejo in Namibia.

You can choose to visit the northern part of Namibia or the Caprivi after your stay at Hwange Safari Lodge. Allow at least 9 hours for the drive from Hwange Safari Lodge to the Caprivi. You can overnight at Kaisosi Lodge near Rundu. For the rest of your stay in the Caprivi you will most likely select accommodation from CAPRIVI ACCOMMODATION where you can do online reservations for the Caprivi. Ngepi Camp is a perfect family destination along the Kavango River (also known as the panhandle of the Okavango River) and 12 hours drive from Hwange Safari Lodge. Sixteen hours drive from Hwange Safari Lodge along the Kwando River is Kwando Camp and Mazambala Island Lodge, a luxury and affordable lodge on an island in the Kwando River in the Caprivi National Park.
Tuli Safari Lodge in the Tuli Game Reserve in the east of Botswana and on the border with South Africa is best known for its huge herds of Elephants.
